Sibongile is a warm and cheerful housekeeper who takes pride in keeping the lodge spotless and welcoming.  Her love for the bush and bright smile make her a guest favorite.  Off-duty, she enjoys shopping and time with her kids.

Portia is a passionate chef at Toro Yaka who finds joy in expressing herself through food. She loves music, reading, and being a mom, cherishing quality time with her family and the creativity her work allows.

CHEF ASSISTANT

Nomonde supports our kitchen team with passion especially when it comes to baking.  She keeps things clean and organized and brings great energy to the kitchen.  After work, she enjoys time with her child, mall trips, and church.

Whether he’s serving drinks or maintaining the grounds, Sibonelo does it all with heart and a smile. He’s always ready for a friendly chat and takes pride in making the lodge look its best. In his free time, he enjoys exploring and attending church.

BARTENDER

Nathi is a valued member of the Toro Yaka Bush Lodge team, working as a bartender, waiter, and plumber. What makes his role special is his enjoyment of interacting with guests from all corners of the world and diverse nationalities.  Nathi is known for being fun-loving, quiet, humble, and kind. Outside of work, he is a devoted father and husband who enjoys learning new languages. He also has a passion for handicrafts and art.

WAITRESS

Daisy is a waitress at Toro Yaka. She takes great pride in warmly welcoming guests and ensuring they have an enjoyable dining experience.  What makes her unique is her fun-loving personality, she’s cheerful, approachable, and always brings positive energy to the team. People often describe her as cool and lovable, which helps create a friendly atmosphere for everyone she serves.  Outside of work, she enjoys shopping, playing games, and spending time doing the things that make her smile.

KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Angel plays a key role in our kitchen team, helping things run smoothly behind the scenes.  She loves being part of the Toro Yaka family and brings positivity and a strong work ethic to every task.  Outside of work, Angel enjoys family time and attending church.

TRACKER & GENERAL ASSISTANT

Appreciate is passionate about tracking wildlife and sharing his love for nature with guests.  He also helps with bar service, waiting tables, and general lodge duties.  He finds joy in helping others and spends his free time planning for the future, resting, or lending a hand where needed.

I’m a guide and tracker with a deep love for nature. I’m passionate about birding and enjoy time in Kruger National Park. Every outing is unique, and I’m always learning, exploring, and sharing the wild’s beauty.
